On 29–30 October, the NSPA Forum will be held in Tornio, Lapland, Finland. This annual forum gathers policymakers, officials, and stakeholders from the 14 regions of the Northern Sparsely Populated Areas (NSPA) to discuss common interests related to EU policies and European Arctic.

The NSPA in the European Arctic is an area in the core of growing geopolitical interests and holds resources for Europe’s ability to secure its strategic autonomy in today’s challenging world. Northernmost Europe is of overall increasing importance for EU’s security policy, green transition and global competitiveness.
